Portland Queer Comedy Festival is a nationally renowned stand-up comedy festival taking place in beautiful Portland, Oregon over 5 days. Every year, we bring to PDX fifty stand-up comedy acts from all over the world;
comedians with appearances on Conan, NBC, Comedy Central, Showtime, BBC, and many more to perform in 6 venues, over 5 days, in over 40 shows. Our venues include Funhouse Lounge, Ford Food and Drink, Curious Comedy Theatre, Kickstand Comedy, NW Cannabis Club and more. The venues are conveniently located near one another creating a fun, bar-crawl festival atmosphere. It’s a party!
We are so excited to bring you YEAR THREE! When we started the festival in 2017, the Orange Administration had just come into power. We were dumbfounded. Something was needed to restore a sense of hope, to enrich both comedy and our LGBTQ community. So we planned a festival. It was a rousing success year one, and year two was double! Because in times like these, laughter is more important than ever.
Comedy is our love and our passion, and bringing you the best in LGBTQ+ comedy is our life mission. We are so glad you’re here. Please say hello at the festival, we love hearing from our audience!
If you are a comedian, submissions will be open February 1st, 2019. We look forward to seeing your stuff! We watch every submission. Please check out the submissions guideline page, and we will see you at the Festival!

Spotlighting comedians who fall on the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) spectrum and their allies, the Portland Queer Comedy Festival’s vision is to not only highlight queer and allied talent from all over the world, but to give back to the Queer community through our community non-profit partner initiatives.
The 2nd Annual Portland Queer Comedy Festival is a four day stand-up comedy focused event to be held in scenic Portland, Oregon July 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 2019 at Funhouse Lounge and Theatre and associated satellite sites.
