Lauryn Petrie is a reformed drug addict, ex-stripper, murder nerd, and standup comedian. She happily walks the line between self-deprecation and self-destruction. Originally from Austin TX, she started doing stand-up in Portland, OR and somehow avoided becoming a pretentious vegan bicyclist. In 2016 she opened for Judah Friedlander at New York Comedy Festival. In 2018 she opened for Jessica Kirson at the New York Comedy Festival. In 2019 she was a part of the first annual Bad B*tch Revolution Comedy Festival. In June she performed on Skankfest and was a guest on Sam Tripoli’s Tin Foil Hat Podcast. Lauryn is the Co-Producer of “The SMUT Headliner Series” comedy showcase with Jonas Barnes currently featured at The Creek and The Cave in NYC, and "SMUT Presents" at The Funhouse Lounge in Portland, OR. After appearing at the Cape Fear Comedy Festival in Wilmington, NC in 2014, Lauryn moved to NYC later that year. She then appeared at The Accidental Comedy Festival in Cleveland, OH, on “Comedy As A Second Language” at Kabin in NYC, and on “Frantic” at The Stand in NYC. Lauryn has worked with headliners such as: Jessica Kirson, Big Jay Oakerson, Judah Friedlander, Jeff Leach, Kurt Metzger, Bonnie McFarlane, Wendi Starling, Laurie Kilmartin, Sean Rouse, Gina Yashere, Kristine Levine, and Sam Tripoli. She has also performed alongside Dave Attell, Ari Shaffir, and Christian Finnegan. Lauryn has also been featured on Sirus XM, the SXSW Film Festival, and TNT.
